My Attitude About the Hollidays

I’ve been a bit distracted this last month. It’s ironic, the world is slowing down, the weather drives us indoors, the shorter days turn our attention within. And yet the holidays force us to the outside. Attention must be paid to family and friends, gatherings, shopping, cooking, wrapping presents, wrapping up our year. And all I’ve wanted to do is hide from it all.

Reconnecting to the Light…

We light the candles on the menorah to remind us of the miracle of divine abundance in the face of scarcity. Then I was blessed to participate in a unique series of events on the Solstice which shifted my perspective from “dealing” with life, to living my joy. I released that which didn’t serve me to move forward by making love to my vision. I re-connected to the light (dare I say the miracle child) within myself.

You know I’m all about the pleasure evolution.  Always,we should make sure we are living a life that pleases us. Our gratification is the source of our radiance. There are times when that joy is exuberant, beaming forth effortlessly. At this time of the year, I think it is a quiet beacon. A lantern that guides the way through the darkened woods. The warm firelight in the cottage window that lets the returning hunter know he has come home. We need to search relentlessly for the light within ourselves during this time, and keep it lit.
